The Emmanuel Schools Foundation’s proposal for an All Age Academy in Blyth, Northumberland, is meeting stern resistance from local residents, who are set to protest outside Sir Peter Vardy’s offices on local election day this Thursday (3 May). Vardy’s three existing schools have been accused of promoting creationism in science lessons, and the proposed Blyth academy would potentially expose children as young as four to these ideas.Mon 30 Apr, 2007

Help keep creationism out of British schools
The Campaign Against an Academy in Blyth has organised a bus for protestors, which leaves from Blyth Civic Centre at 10am, to arrive at Vardy’s offices around 11am. All are welcome, and are encouraged to bring placards and banners.
